WHAT IS FRESH TAKES?
Simply put, we are a collection of humans who want to elevate the music scene in Minneapolis and dance.
We're tired of playing the same songs and we'd imagine you're tired of listening to the same songs. As DJs, our lives are spent performing, but behind the scenes, we spend countless hours scouring record pools to find the best edits and remixes. Oftentimes we find a familiar tune, made new. Take an old classic and give it a nu disco spin, or a breakdown that makes you want to throw down, something with more bounce to the ounce, that's a Fresh Take. Deep in our DJ crates are all of the gems we find that don't quite make their way into our set because the crowd isn't ready for it, and let's be honest, the original is safer. We're tired of playing it safe.
Fresh Takes is curating a musical experience for those wanting to go beyond the standard and dabble in nu disco, house, bounce, twerk, and everything in-between. We rotate locations to keep the space fresh. We're seeking to curate the best vibe in the Twin Cities and we'd love to have you join us. You'll recognize some of the songs, but you've never heard them like this before. Tickets will sell out, get in early.
A NOTE ON TICKETS:
We have a limited supply of early bird tickets. Once those sell out, tickets will go up to $20. We want to encourage y'all to snag your tickets early and tell your crew to get your plans locked in.
